School Annual Report

All schools are required to publish their School Annual report for the previous year. As Coomera Springs is a new school in 2008, our first School Annual Report will be published on our website in 2009.

Standard Assessment

Coomera Springs State School offers  standard assessment to all students in Years 3, 5 and 7 and provide to the testing authority the student test papers and information on numbers of students absent for the test, exempted from testing or withdrawn by their parent/guardian.

National Benchmarking

Coomera Springs State School provides the parents of each child at the school who undertakes a standard assessment in reading, writing, spelling and numeracy at Year 3, 5, 7 or 9 a report of the results of that assessment against the appropriate national benchmarks.

Physical Activity

As mandated by Federal government, Coomera Springs State School students participate in at least 2 hours of physical activity each school week.

Student reporting

Coomera Springs StateSchool provides a student report for all attending students that:

  1. use plain language and are able to be readily understood by the parents,
  2. are timely and given at least twice a year,
  3. give an accurate and objective assessment of the child’s progress and achievement, including against national standards (where these are available) and relative to the child’s peer group at the school, are confidential and deal with the child’s academic and non-academic learning,
  4. are followed by an opportunity to meet with the child’s teachers to discuss all aspects of the report, and for the school to give constructive advice about supporting the child’s further progress at school, and
  5. meet any other requirements specified in the regulations, including A-E grades (or an equivalent) and access to comparative information. 

Interstate Student Data Transfer Note

As a part of the enrolment process, each student has been provided with advice on the Interstate Student Data Transfer Note (ISDTN) and supported in using it according to the protocols and processes agreed by MCEETYA.
