Welcome back to Term 3
It is with great pleasure that we welcome back two of our foundation teachers; Mrs Sue Dennien and Mrs Angela Loudon. Both have rejoined us to take the new classes formed on Wednesday of this week. We now have 9 classes.

Our third term is off with a bang as we plan more things for the School and ways to raise money for the P&C to spend on our kids!
Uniform Check
I am very pleased to report that on Day 1 of Term 3 98% of our students were in full uniform. An incorrect colour jumper was the main issue of concern.
Year 2 Diagnostic Net Reports
All year 2 students that were enrolled at Coomera Springs at the end of term 2 should have received a Diagnostic Net Report by the time you read this.
School Opinion Survey
Each year all Queensland State Schools complete a School Opinion Survey. Results are given for our individual school; plus comparisons with “other schools like us” and “all schools”.
English as a Second Language
Two new Intensive English Centres will open on The Gold Coast at Surfers Paradise State School and at Labrador State School at the beginning of Semester 2.
Chess @ Coomera Springs
We are currently in discussions with Gardiner Chess regarding the implementation of a Chess program at Coomera Springs SS.
Library Book Borrowing
Starting this week, students are able to borrow one book from our library per week.
Afterschool Basketball Sessions
Learn how to play basketball at after school sessions held in Runaway Bay.
Parenting Course
Illoura Child & Family Counselling Centre is running

District Athletics Carnival - Gold Coast
This year the Gold Coast North Primary School Sport District Athletics Carnival will be held on Thursday 07 August and Friday 08 August at AB Paterson College. We have been invited to send any eligible students.
