Principals News - Welcome Back!

We hope you all had a wonderful holiday, both safe and restful. The break is a great opportunity for some exciting family time without the pressures of a school routine.

Welcome particularly to our new students and their families.

Welcome to our new staff:

Reorganising Classrooms

We also have our 14th classroom teacher, Mrs Belinda Gustavson who continues to support our oversize classes.

We expect to reorganise classes from 13 to 14 in Week 3 for a Week 4 start.

This reorganisation is required because of our continuing enrolment growth. Any parent of any child affected by the reorganisation will be contacted and notified of the change. Please be reassured we will do all we can to minimise any disruption.

P & C News

We are pleased to advise that we have managed to keep the tuckshop open for Term 3, despite not yet having found a Tuckshop Conveynor to replace Kylene Nicholls who resigned at the end of last term.

Expectations Term 3

We all work together to make Coomera Springs a “good” school. We are experiencing continued enrolment applications from students from both inside and outside our enrolment catchment area. Applicants frequently mention they would like to enrol with us because of positive reports from friends and neighbours.

Year 7 Camp

This week our Year 7’s are enjoying a beach camp at Tallebudgera. Although the weather is a little cold, the students and staff are enjoying themselves. Mr Wilkinson and Mrs Dennien report that our students are representing themselves, our school, your family, and our community very well. Mrs Gosling visited for a swim (with a wetsuit) on Wednesday and Mr Ennis visited on Thursday and Friday.

Our school camp program offers one night at school for Year 3; 2 to 3 nights at a Bush camp for Year 5; and 3 nights Beach Camp Year 7.

Needed - Volunteer Tuckshop Convenor

We are still looking for a Volunteer Tuckshop Convenor to oversee the running of our Tuckshop in Terms 3 & 4 of this year. If you are interested in helping out in this role please contact the school ASAP.
