Booklists 2010
It is hard to believe that it is the time of year to begin thinking about ordering books for the coming 2010 school year.
Once again we have asked a number of suppliers to quote on booklists for Coomera Springs. This year the successful supplier is Kookaburra Educational Suppliers.
Reporting Semester 2, 2009
Teachers are currently completing report cards for all eligible students. Students enrolled at Coomera Springs prior to the end of Term 3 will receive a complete report.
In Catchment Enrolments for Yr 1-7, 2010
Applications are now open for all year levels for 2010. Please supply all paperwork (application, enrolment agreements, proof of residency – 2 forms, and birth certificate) for all enrolling students.
In Catchment Enrolments for Prep 2010
Prep for 2010 is filling fast. Please ensure your fully completed paperwork (application, enrolment agreements, proof of residency – 2 forms, and birth certificate) is submitted as soon as possible.
Students eligible for the Prep year in 2010 MUST be born between July 2004 and June 2005 ONLY.
Dogs on School Grounds
Recently we conducted a workplace health and safety review about the presence of dogs in the school ground.
We recognise that many parents feel that their individual dog is not an issue with regards to the safety of the children in the school.
Student Awards 2009
Our school planning teams have designed the Student Awards for our school. We have determined what awards will be offered in each class, year level and key learning area(s); and the criteria for each.
Years 6/7 Japanese Lunch - End of Term
On Monday 7th December year 6 and 7 students who participate in Japanese will be able to order a Japanese o-bento lunch from Sumo Japanese restaurant.
Book Fair - Resource Centre
Thank you to everyone for supporting our Resource Centre over the last 18 months.
This term we are having our first Book Fair. It will be held from Monday 16th November until Wednesday 25th November.
Repeat Guidelines
At this time of year we can often get enquiries from parents about the value of repeating their child in the same year level next year.
Students leaving CS at the End of 2009
In the coming weeks teachers will be working on class lists for 2010. If your child is leaving Coomera Springs at the end of this year please inform the class teacher and/or administration of the leaving date and school destination.
Student Uniform Shop
Our Uniform Shop is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8.30am to 9am. We sell a full range of new uniforms in all sizes and some second hand uniforms at bargain prices.
We are still working with our supplier for our new girls dress uniform. We are fine tuning the final design and expect it to be ready for introduction by the start of 2010.
EQ Review of Student Responsible
Behaviour Plans
All state schools in Queensland are required to review their Student Responsible Behaviour Plans. Our current Plan is published on our school website under the Policies and Procedures tab.
Gullivers Coomera - Swim, Gym, Sports
Gullivers Coomera have vacancies available for before school, after school and vacation care for Prep to Year 7 students.
Stage Door Academy

Martial Arts Classes in Oxenford
The UK's top Martial Arts School is opening in Oxenford at the Oxenford Youth Centre. They are running a number of different classes for all ages.
Empowering Women Workshop
Please find attached a flyer on a new program commencing soon at the Oxenford Youth Centre for women. The program is focused around increasing self confidence and empowering women.
