Student Leaders

Well over half of our Year 7 group nominated for a Student Leader position for 2009. All 16 students who nominated were eligible to stand for election (appropriate work effort, behaviour, and uniform). All students gave their election speeches confidently to staff and Year 4 to 7 students.

The quality of the nominations was obvious in the vote counting, with every student attracting votes from students and staff. Well done to everyone.

Congratulations to our four Student Leaders for 2009: Jordan Hines, Josh Lowton, Harley Patterson, and Tabitha Sen.

Now these positions have been decided, we will start work on Sports House Leaders and Student Council.

Other duties for upper school “leaders” (all Year 6 and 7 students) include Tuckshop Helper, Flag Raisers, Bell Ringers, Sports Room Borrowing, Library Monitors, Buddy to a littlie, and so on.
