Strategic Planning for 2009 is well underway with some vacancies on the P&C committee and adverts for positions being prepared.

Our school encourages all parents and members of our community to support the new State Government initiative to improve student attendance.
Student Free Day - Monday 20th October
Monday 20th October is a Queensland state wide Student Free Day. Please ensure you make alternative arrangements for supervision of your child/ren on this day. All staff are undertaking Professional Development and are not taking classes on this day.
Keep an Eye Out
All students should have received an invitation to the Coomera Springs Community Fun Day to be held on Sunday 16th November.
Year 2/3 Sleepover At CSSS
Year 3 sleep over is part of our schools Year 3/ 5/ 7 Camp Program.

Extracurricular Activities - Auskick
Coomera Springs boys and girls are able to join numerous extra curricula activities; both in school time during beaks, plus after school. These include dance, chess, scrap booking, homework club, choir, organised sport games, and library activities.
We are pleased to announce that our students will now also have the opportunity to be involved in an Auskick program in Term 4.Art Club
Art Club will be another new option beginning after school in Mrs Colleys room from Tuesday 21st October.
Celebrate National Water Week
Families are invited to make a splash with the Waterwise display at the Queensland Museum, South Bank during National Water Week from October 19 to 25.

Remembrance Day Dedication
We will be holding a special dedication ceremony on the 11 November at 11.00am.
We Love Prep!
Prep is the first Year of School. It develops children's independence and prepares them for Year 1.
Good social skills help make friends!
Children with good social and problem-solving skills make new friends. They are comfortable in new situations. They are friendly to others and join in activities.

Friday 31 Oct – World Teachers Day – Show your appreciation for your child’s teacher. A smile, a note, anything shows you care!
