P & C News
2009 will be a busy year for the P&C at Coomera Springs and we are on the lookout for volunteers who can help us by joining the P&C Committee.

"Bank of the Future" Competition
The Commonwealth Bank branch at Oxenford will be one of the first braches in Australia to have a completely new branch experience for customers as part of a new redesign program.
2009 Booklists
We are pleased to announce that Kookaburra Educational Resources has been selected as the bookpack supplier to Coomera Springs State School for back to school 2009.
School Community Facility
On our School Master Plan we have an area set aside for a "Community Facility".
International Teachers Day 31 Oct 08
World Teachers day is celebrated in over 100 countries. The day was introduced in 1994 by the United Nations to recognise the importance of teachers in young peoples lives and building their life opportunities.

Chess at Coomera Springs
Just a reminder that Gardiner’s Chess are running a program for interested Chess enthusiasts
Art Club
Art Club will be another new option beginning after school in Mrs Colleys room from Tuesday 21st October.

Strategic Planning Input for 2009
In preparation for 2009 we are inviting school community members to offer ideas for continuous improvement of our school. The three questions for response are:
Remembrance Day Dedication
We will be holding a special dedication ceremony on the 11 November at 11.00am.
Prep '09 Information Sessions
Parents of Prep students for 2009 are invited to attend an Information session on Wednesday 12th November at either 9am or 5.30pm.
Instrumental Recruitment Night
On Monday 10th November at 6pm there will be a recruitment evening for those parents interested in their children joining the Coomera Springs Instrumental Program in 2009.

Semester 2- Prep Enrolments for 2009 now open, Enrolments for “in catchment” families all year levels 2009 open now also.
Friday 31 Oct – World Teachers Day – Show your appreciation for your child’s teacher. A smile, a note, anything shows you care!
